Microsilica

Microsilica , also known as Silica fume is an ultrafine powder obtained as a by-product of silicon & ferrosilicon alloy production. They are less than 1 micron in size , and upto 100 times finer than flyash. Microsilica contributes to concrete strength and durability by reducing the size of pores as a good filler and provides a uniform distribution. The additon of Microsilica provides more of the strong calcium-silicate hydrates and less of the weak and easily soluble calcium hydroxides than ordinary concrete.

Nouka FTC got sufficient stock of Microsilica and can provide good quality microsilica at compettive rates.

Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag

The Ground Granulated Blast  Furnace Slag or GGBFS  is a by product of iron manufacturing obtained by rapid cooling of molten ash by water (quenching process). GGBFS can be used as a portland cement replacement ranging from 35%-70% by mass. It consists of Calcium Aluminium Silicates. This when added to concrete improves the strength, workability, and durability, as well as reducing the heat formation & cracking.

Ultrafines

Ultrafines  (sometimes called as Microfines) are ultrafine ground powder of GGBS or Fly ash. They improve the properties of regular GGBS like high surface area, improved penetration properties, high resistivity to chemical attack.
 

Recently engineered Ultrafines are used to provide early age reduction in permeability like Microsilica, and contributing to the refinement of pores and better distribution. It also mitigates the adverse effects of various marine salts in concrete like chlorides.  The use of Ultrafines reduces water demand, and fineness results in good flow & workability. The ultrafines can be used as a replacement to Microsilica and can provide better initial strength.​
